“Diane (Maas) & Patrice Ficarelli would dearly love to attend the class reunion again this year, like we did in 2011, but instead we will be going to a family reunion at Rocky Mountain National Park for two weeks starting July 31st. Diane’s sister & brother-in-law, Elaine (Maas) & David Miller, both EHS class of ‘58, have vacationed there for many decades and a reunion was already held there in 2003. This time there will be 11 family members attending, including Elaine’s two sons, one of whom will be flying in from Fukuoka, Japan with his Japanese wife, their two children (8 & 10) and his parents-in-law. The other son is single and lives in Joliet, IL. It should be a joyful occasion! After the reunion, Diane & Patrice will travel to sites nearby in Utah, Arizona and New Mexico.
Diane & Patrice have been basically well and enjoying life since the 50th class reunion, with ups and downs like all of us. Occasional health issues, much travel, mostly in Europe, volunteer work for the various associations we’re involved in, like the Tall Ships association that took us to Toulon, on the Mediterranean, in September 2013 (cf. attached photo).
The world seems to be going a bit crazy right now with all these attacks almost every day all over the world and often in France, where we still live. May you all be kept safe in your travels and in your daily lives – and hopefully we’ll be able to see you again in 2021!”
